Why I started Thriving InSight

Every woman deserves to feel capable, confident and free to live and lead on her own terms — working with, not against, her unique and interesting mind.

That’s the heart of Thriving InSight.

That’s why I do this work.

Thriving InSight

At Thriving InSight, we help professional women 40+ understand, manage and thrive with ADHD — without overwhelm, shame or guilt.

ADHD often looks different in women. Many spend years masking, overcompensating or feeling “not enough,” even while succeeding on the outside. Our mission is simple:

To help leaders thrive from the inside — especially professional women with ADHD
and to create workplaces that are psychologically safe, inclusive and human.

We offer compassionate, science-informed coaching that supports you to:

• Build practical systems that actually work for your life

• Understand your ADHD with kindness instead of judgement

• Strengthen emotional regulation, focus and self-awareness

• Restore confidence, clarity and self-trust

• Create a more intentional, sustainable way of living and leading

We don’t “fix” our clients — we help you create meaningful change in a way that honours your wiring.

Meet Yvette Annand

ADHD Coach & Founder, Thriving InSight

I founded Thriving InSight to support women like me — women who have spent years being capable, competent and driven… while quietly running on empty.

Like many women, my ADHD wasn’t recognised until later in life. For years I juggled a demanding career, three children, single motherhood, and (just for fun) peri-menopause — while wondering why my brain felt different and often worked against me.

A turning point came in 2016 at an intensive Mindful Self-Compassion retreat, followed by a Masters in mindfulness studies.

I learned three things that changed everything:

  1. My inner critic was running the show.

  2. My mind worked differently from most people — and that was okay.

  3. I didn’t need fixing; I needed understanding.

Therapy helped me heal old patterns, and an eventual ADHD diagnosis made my whole life make sense.

I realised I wasn’t alone, I wasn’t broken — I was wired like many bright, curious women who had simply been misunderstood.

Square peg, round hole

During my 20-year international career with Coca-Cola, Nestlé and Diageo, I masked constantly, pushed harder to keep up and burnt out more than once.

If ADHD in high-performing women had been understood back then, my life would’ve been very different.

That’s why I started Thriving InSight.

I see so many talented women doing what I did — taking on too much, feeling misunderstood, exhausted, or stuck, despite being successful. I wanted to create a safe, intelligent space where women could finally understand themselves, drop the mask, and build a way of working and living that feels aligned.

Today, as a leadership and mindset coach, trained counsellor and self-compassion teacher, I help women break free from the pressure to “fit the mould,” reclaim energy and focus, and step into a leadership style that’s grounded, confident and authentically their own.

And I support organisations to create cultures where all minds — ADHD or not — can thrive.
